Udo Music Festival
Udo Music Festival is kinda what you would get if you mixed Summer Sonic and Fuji Rock together, but then let it mature a bit til it agrees with the 30-60 crowd. Actually, that’s not entirely true, but when you think that Santana, KISS, The Pretenders, The Doobie Brothers and Alice in Chains are headlining, it gives you the sense that this festival might be aimed at the slightly older rockers.
For the younger crowds, there’s a large punk contingent and some good all rounders like Ben Folds and Australian Ben Lee. There’s also a nice selection of Japan’s finest, including the eternal rockers Guitar Wolf.
The festival goes over two days in Shizuoka Prefecture. Tickets are ¥16,000 (one day) or ¥30,000 (two days).

You want a real music festival, go to the 16th annual Jozenji Street Music Festival in Sendai, Sept 8th through 10th, 2006.
It’s becoming the largest COMPLETELY FREE music festival in Japan. Last year there were over 630,000 people in attendance with over 650 bands performing free concerts all over the city in every park and on every street corner.
The festival was originally a Jazz festival, but now there are more rock, pop, funk, classical and tecno band from all over Japan, than there are Jazz bands.

I have been surfing for festivals that i want to apply for. I am a Filipino folk singer. I want to share my music to other people. I was wondering if Udo Music Festival encourages performares from other countries. if so, i want to inquire how to join your festival. Thank you very much.
